A BILLION PEOPLE–NO HOPE–31 GROUPS

Did you know ONE in FOUR individuals live in people groups with no hope of hearing about Jesus before they die?

They are called Frontier People Groups (FPGs) and they have no known gospel movements among them. By praying for the thirty-one peoples in this prayer guide, you will pray for half of them, or about ONE BILLION people!

This Prayer Guide will:

  • Inform you of the 31 largest FPGs.
  • Equip you with prayers on their behalf.
  • See how God is preparing them to hear the Gospel.
  • Stir believers to go and take the gospel to them.

Informed, united prayer releases God’s blessing in Jesus to multiply through the precious households in these FPGs.

I urge you, first of all, to pray for all people. Ask God to help them; intercede on their behalf, and give thanks for them. (1 Tim. 2:1)

The Thirty-One

Who Are the thirty-one?

The "thirty-one” are the largest and most influential of all Frontier People Groups. Each has a population of 10 million up to 150 million. One tenth of mankind and half the people in all FPGs, live in these 31 groups.

What are Frontier people groups?

Frontier People Groups (FPG’s) are those that are less than 1/10th of 1% Christian. And there is no established gospel movement multiplying God’s blessing among them (yet).

Why prayer for these thirty-one peoples?

HALF the population of all Frontier People Groups live in these 31 groups. Each group has over ten million people and combined, they total almost a billion people or over 10% of the world's population.

This Prayer Guide covers nearly a billion people waiting to know a believer Half the population of all Frontier Peoples live in the 31 largest FPGs containing more than one-tenth of the world population.

Frontier People Group Update: Understanding the Remaining Task

Where are we at with the Great Commission? How many people are left to be reached? What are Frontier People Groups, and why is it important we pray for them? This six minute overview offers guidance to mission, prayer, partners, and strategy.

From one person God made all peoples who live on earth, and He decided when and where every nation would be. God has done all this, so that all will look for Him and reach out and find Him. (Acts 17:26-7)

Throughout the book of Acts, God’s Word multiplied rapidly through believing households—even without personal Bibles, church buildings or salaried preachers. And the word of God continued to increase, and the number of the disciples multiplied greatly …

Following Jesus’ command, the first 120 disciples sought God together daily for the promised Holy Spirit. Their answered prayers emboldened and empowered their witness, and launched the fulfillment of Jesus’ commission to bless all nations—discipling all nations to lovingly obey Him…

Throughout history, the effectiveness of mission efforts has been tied directly to informed prayer. For example, prayer for Unreached People Groups (UPGs) has grown steadily since the late 1970’s. Today researchers are tracking 660 Acts-like gospel movements

Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me. Therefore go andc make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey all that I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age. (Mt. 28:18-20

I am not asking on behalf of them alone, but also on behalf of those who will believe in Me through their message, that all of them may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I am in You. May they also be in Us, so that the world may believe that You sent Me. (Jn. 17:20-21)
